CFTSCal

CFTSCal is an application for calibrating acoustic equipment such as that used in the Cochlear Function Test Suite (CFTS) and Auditory Behavior Test Suite (ABTS). This includes measurement microphones (flat frequency response), generic microphones (variable frequency response), speakers, probe-tube starship microphones, amplifiers, and related hardware.

The calibration system is plugin-oriented — see Plugins for what's available, starting with Measurement Microphone Calibration and Input Recording.

The Reference section is the background theory: every equation cftscal uses (Calibration Math), how spectra and levels are measured (Signal Analysis), and the electrical and acoustic limits to work out before you build a rig (Hardware Design). None of it is needed for a routine calibration — it's there for when a number doesn't look right, or you want to check cftscal's arithmetic against your own.
